Matthew 25:35-40: Jesus says, "I was hungry and you gave me food... whatever you did for one of the least of these... you did for me."

Holmdel UCC goes beyond its buildings to engage with our neighbors, particularly those who are marginalized or in need of support.  Click on the buttons below in each section to learn more about how we share our love.

Family Promise, A Housing Program of Lunch Break

Lunch Break’s slogan is “help for today, hope for tomorrow."  While giving needed resources now, families who are unhoused are also receiving training and developing skills to enable them to live independently. Holmdel Community UCC prepares meals for families living in motels, and also gives furniture and household items to those transitioning from motel rooms to their own apartments.

Making Our Voices Heard
Internationally, Nationally and Locally

We are committed to loving and supporting our neighbors, and recognize the importance of getting legislation passed that will benefit them. This means being informed on issues, contacting our legislators to express our opinions, contributing to causes we believe in,  voting and helping others to do the same.  We participate in postcarding activities sponsored by MOCA (Monmouth Ocean County Action) and walks, marches and rallies as appropriate.
